Black and white outdoor pillows
Black and white is the one outdoor palette that never looks dated and never fights the garden. Everything green around it reads as the colour, and the pillows read as structure. It also happens to be the combination that survives strong sun best, because there is no pigment to shift.
Stripes, checks, geometrics and hand-painted marks, all printed into 100% spun polyester on both sides. UV-resistant, water-resistant, mildew-resistant, with a sewn seam closure.
Where it works
Dark metal furniture, teak, concrete and modern rattan all take black and white well. On a very green, planted terrace it stops the space looking like all one thing. The one place to be careful is a busy patterned rug, where black and white pillows will compete rather than settle.

Does white fabric stay clean outdoors?
Better than you would expect, because polyester does not absorb the way cotton does. Spot clean marks as they happen rather than letting them set.
Do black pillows get hot in the sun?
Any dark fabric warms in direct sun. In full afternoon sun a design with more white than black stays more comfortable to lean on.
How many stripes work best?
Broad stripes read cleanly from across a garden. Very fine stripes tend to shimmer at a distance, so our striped designs are drawn generously.
