Outdoor Halloween pillows
Halloween decorating happens outside, on the porch and the front step, where everyone walking past can see it. That means the decorations have to cope with a fortnight of weather. These pillows do, which is the difference between a porch that still looks good on the thirty-first and one that gave up in the second week of October.
The designs lean decorative rather than gruesome: pumpkins, bats, folk-art silhouettes, in black, burnt orange and bone. All 100% spun polyester, UV-resistant and water-resistant, printed on both sides.
They carry into November
A pumpkin design in orange and cream does not have to come in on the first of November. Choose one without an explicitly spooky motif and it carries straight on through Thanksgiving, which turns a two-week decoration into a two-month one.
Frequently asked questions
When should I put out Halloween pillows?
Mid to late September. Porch decorating starts far earlier than most people expect, and the pillows are weather-resistant so there is no reason to wait.
Are they too scary for a family porch?
These are decorative rather than frightening. Pumpkins, bats and folk motifs in autumn colours, not horror imagery.
Can I leave them out in October rain?
Yes. Water-resistant fabric with the design printed into the fibre. Let a soaked pillow dry in open air before storing it away for the year.
