Is terracotta the same as orange?
Terracotta is a muted, earthy orange with brown in it. It behaves much more like a neutral, which is why it is easier to build a whole scheme around.
What pairs with orange?
Olive and sage green, deep blue for contrast, cream and sand to keep it calm. Terracotta and teal is a strong, confident pairing.
Does orange work in autumn?
Rust and burnt orange are the definitive autumn colours. A terracotta pillow bought in June is still right in October.
