Purple outdoor pillows
Purple is the shade most people leave out of a garden, which is exactly why it works. There is almost no purple in planting at this scale, so a plum or lavender pillow never competes with what is already growing. It reads as a decision rather than a match.
Every pillow is 100% spun polyester, UV-resistant and water-resistant, printed on both sides with a sewn seam closure.
Plum, lavender or aubergine
Deep plum and aubergine behave like a dark neutral outdoors: they sit with weathered wood and grey stone the way charcoal does, but with warmth in them. Soft lavender and lilac do the opposite and lift a shaded corner where a pale grey would look cold. Wine, sitting between the two, is the one that carries into autumn alongside rust and ochre.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you order.
Is purple difficult to place outdoors?
Less than people expect. Because so little planting is genuinely purple, it rarely clashes with a border. The shade that needs care is bright violet; plum, wine and lavender all sit quietly.
What furniture suits purple?
Grey stone, weathered teak and dark metal. Aubergine against pale timber gives strong contrast; lavender against dark furniture lifts it.
Does purple fade in sun?
The polyester is UV-resistant and the colour is printed into the fibre, so deep plum and aubergine hold particularly well. Very pale lilacs show wear soonest, as pale shades do in any colour.
